Presidents Message

Dear Friends,

I’m glad I was able to see many of you at Consular Services camp. I’d like to express
my appreciation to those who assisted with over 300 people who participated. I believe
we learned some valuable lessons on how to improve on an event and will move
forward to more successes in the future. As we move into the New Year, 2018, I would like to formally introduce myself as –
President of IAN and my team
Vice President – Sujana Sawhney
General Secretary – Atul Malhotra
Treasurer – Rakesh Gupta
Executive Committee – Praveen Lokhande, Amit Kumar, Shalini Dixit

I am looking forward to implement new ideas and projects as well as build upon our
previous successes, maintaining a culture of innovation and inclusivity. Our universal
passion to unite our community and provide a common platform to celebrate our culture
is one of which to be proud. I hope my dedication to our heritage will carry us forward,
instilling in us a shared motivation to support and practice our values within ourselves
and through our children. I would like to reengage our community’s youth and utilize
their skills and ideas in the development of the organization.

I have lived in the Nashville area for 20 years and have seen this community grow
tremendously. I became a board member for the Friends of India Association of
Murfreesboro in 2006 and served as their president from 2012-2014. In 2014, I started
working with IAN and served as vice president in 2017. I hope we can all work together
and make this year our best one yet! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions,
concerns, or ideas. My doors are open to all.

Rajni Gupta
