IAN Cricket 8’s Tournament (2025)

All 8’s - 8 Teams, 8 Players per team and 8 overs per side/game

Indian Association of Nashville (IAN) in partnership with Nashville Cricket Association (NCA) proudly presents its second edition of the Cricket tournament following the great success of its first edition in 2023 here in Nashville for both Men and Women. Cricket is a religion in India and on the heels of India lifting the T20 World cup and the success of the USA Cricket team this World Cup, IAN true to its continued vision of Sports events will conduct a shorter version of this passionate sport loved by all Indians. IAN Mens 8’s Cup and IAN Womens 8’s Cup will be held during the fall of 2024 around early September. Games will be played during the weekends. 

Format of IAN Mens 8’s Cup will be 8 Teams competing in 8 overs/side per game format. Taped Tennis balls will be used, and the games will be held in local Nashville Cricket grounds in Astro Turf wickets. Men of age 45+ can take part in this tournament and should not be part of any Nashville Cricket teams that play in the local 20 over leagues or local short form tournaments and only residents of Nashville can play in the teams.

Format of IAN Womens 8’s Cup will be 8 teams competing in 8 overs/side per game format. Taped Tennis balls will be used, and the games will be held in local Nashville Cricket grounds in Astro Turf wickets. Women of all ages can take part in this tournament. 

Registrations start 7/5/2025 and will close 8/16/2025. Professional Cricket rules will be followed with a few relaxations, so teams forming and registering ensure that players have some cricket playing experience. Teams will be allowed to register with an Indian City prefixed/ suffixed before/after their team’s name and same city will not be repeated for more than one team. Each team will have only 8 maximum players for a game.  Each team can register with a roster of 10 players and must nominate a Coach and the Coach should have played professional cricket here in Nashville in any of the local leagues or tournaments.
